Labor Day and Tiger Heartbreak
Has it been two weeks since I have posted an entry in this? Man, I have been busy with work and not much else going on. Today was Labor Day, probably one of the most worthless holidays on the calendar. I did pretty much nothing but chill out and relax this weekend.
I had my first perfect week at work, the week before last. I get a $25.00 when I pull that off. For August, I only made 5 errors out of 1700 orders that I pulled! I really like my job and it came along at just the right time in my life. We have an opportunity to get $400 if sales meet a certain plateau. Please pray that we make it, as I need the money to help with moving expenses.
I think enough has been said about Hurricane Katrina and the horrors of that storm. I have a fond place in my heart for New Orleans and hope that the city will be back.

On a lighter note, I had a chance to see "The 40 Year-Old Virgin" a couple of weeks ago. What a funny movie!!! I think it was as good as "The Wedding Crashers." It is a little raunchy so it may not be for everyone. We are taking advantage of Justin's job at the movie theater, and enjoying a lot of movies for free.
Speaking of Justin, he got a new job that he starts on September 12th. That should propel us back into our own place again soon, hopefully by the first of the year.
I checked my credit score yesterday, it was 559! Ugh!! Well, I have to work on getting that up. My advice to anyone would be to never file for bankruptcy if you can help it. It is like dropping a nuclear bomb on your credit.
On to the Tiger heartbreak...... Memphis lost to our bitter rivals Ole Miss tonight 10-6. U of Memphis lost their starting quarterback three plays into the game with a broken ankle. He is out for the season. This forced them to play with a freshman the rest of the game. They battled and almost won. They made me proud by not quitting. I am hoping to go back to school in the spring to work on finishing my degree. I only need 60 hours.
I saw Martin Fletcher today for the first time in a couple of years. It feels like my life is coming back to me after the 2 years that I spent in a fog, almost comatose like state. Dad and I went to the Redbirds game and got a bobblehead and saw Martin.
Well, that is plenty for now. I promise to be back before Sept. 19th!!!!
