Meatstravaganza 2005!!!!!

Monday was Dad's 57th birthday, or what I dubbed "Meatstravaganza 2005." That was because we(myself and Justin) took him to Texas de Brazil at Peabody Place to eat. None of us had ever been before and all wanted to go so we decided what better time than then.
Anticipation was high as all we had heard was good things about the restaurant. Well, we were not dissapointed! To start, there is a 40 item salad bar. This is not your traditional salad bar, but one that includes smoked salmon and sushi. The salad bar alone would be worth the trip, but is hardly what makes Texas de Brazil unique.

What makes this place so different is that you have a card on your table that has a green side and a red side. When the card is on the red side, you are not offered any meat. When you turn the card to green, gentlemen like the one pictured saunter by the table with a variety of meats on skewers ranging from filet mignon to lamb. Every piece of meat that I sampled was extraordinary, as was the service. By the time the night was over, I think I ate something like 10 pounds of meat. That maybe an overestimate, but I ate my share.
It cost us $90.00 for the three of us to eat, thanks to a 50% off coupon that Justin had. I would have been worth it if we had to pay full price. I recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys atmosphere and a good steak. I am looking forward to returning again.
