Sinuses, Cooper-Young Fest, and Tigers

On Friday I went to work actually feeling OK. When I got there I only lasted 1 hour before I had to go home. I have rested some over the past two days, and I am feeling about 70%. That is way better than the 10% I was at on Friday. I only have one more strike in the next 17 days and I lose my job, so please pray that I am not late of get sick or anything else happens. I get a clean slate again after 30 days. I love my job and would hate to lose it. I would usually work sick, but I could not hold up my head because I was so weak.

 Yesterday Dad and I went to the Cooper-Young Festival. It was OK. I thought it was just an overpriced flea market. We did get to go to the Memphis Pizza Cafe in Overton Square for lunch, one of my old hangouts from the old Riverkings days. It was top notch as always. eBay has really spoiled me from just enjoying shopping. I am always thinking - Can I sell that?

 The Tigers blew it last night. They were up 20-7 and ended up losing 35-20. They basically disappeared the second half. The UT game is in two weeks and they better shape up, or it will be ugly. That is all that I care to say on that subject.

I plan on resting today and then attacking work tomorrow. I want to get that first sale behind me and get back on track. Tomorrow is my first paycheck, so that is always nice. I will have some more movie reviews forthcoming, and good news about the week at work.

Life comes full circle for me.....

Today I attended the church that I grew up in, for the first time in about 15 years or so I guess. My grandmother asked us to go with her, so how could I refuse. It had not changed one bit since the way that I remembered it. It is the second week in a row that I have gone to church. That is definitely a good thing. Back to work tomorrow, I get a raise on Tuesday. I will finally have a little extra money when I get my next check on the 19th. It is so nice to have a steady stream of income again. I am planning on selling some more eBay stuff, so that will help out with the savings plan. Wayne Gretzky was just named the new coach of the Phoenix Coyotes, so that means I will have to go to see another game in Nashville since I have never met The Great One. The Predators just signed Paul Kariya, so that is another reason to check out some hockey. Well, I think that is all that I can think of at the moment. Until next time.....
